In Dolpo district, the group of people with the same hope and excitement climb of carrying heavy load on their back just before the sunrise in the morning. From school students to the aged grandfather go to the Patan. Everybody keeps the hope of maintaining their yearly domestic expenditure by collecting Yarsagumba. There is no one in the village instead of foot paralyzed, poor eyesight and aged people. In this time, the village is quite homes are seemed to be caves whereas caves are as homes. It is difficult for the pedestrians to get the shelter at the time in village. But there are not any difficulty in the forest to get food and shelters. Wheat and barley have already ripened in the fertile land. The time has come to plant new crops. Apples, peaches have been flowered; time has come to dig around the maize. There are also other household works, but the most essential work at the moment is to collect Yarsagumba. Why not to go there? There comes the more income in less duration. Yearly domestic expenditure can be passed over and also entertainment can be made. At the time the view of Patan is really seem to be glittering city. People who come here have manage their utensils, provisions etc which there are required during the collection of Yarsagumba. They should walk around two hours on the way to bring firewood and water. Although the settlement here has on managed and imaginary and deprived of different facilities it is so much comfortable. These people who have learned how to fight with nature and love their present life, though they are facing difficulty and shivering cold, sudden rain and cold blowing air. Air blows from every direction, fire is difficult to remain and eyes are getting pain by the smoky weather. Firewoods are moistening, but there is no other way to prepare food.

Not any organization and government sectors have given any interest in conservation and preservation of Yarsagumba which is rarely found in present day than in previous time on the course of being extinct. One of lived insect dies inside the firm land within its access filling secured shell, the insect germinate, dividing half of its body above ground in the form of mushroom and remaining half of body under the ground in the form of an insect. When that insect germinates then the hunter like people who are working in its search they try to capture by distributing the land within its access from the root. On the course of collecting Yarsagumba various types of incidents take place each year and everywhere. Some people die because of lack of oxygen because of its occurrence of high altitude sickness while other die by falling down when walking on the path of difficult cliffs. Keeping their life on risk people go there to collect Yarshagumba so it is difficult to know what happens when to whom. On the course of small and big yearly incident, huge snow slide took the life of 15 people in the year 2007 which is extremely unimaginable, terrible and is in the form of national incident. The affection towards Yarshagumba has not been decrease to the people of Himalaya range although various incidents are continually taking place. Yarshagumba is considered as excellent source of energy increasing medicine which is in the form of extremely valuable herb. It is used in the treatment of various diseases, like cancer of heart, pneumonia, diarrhea, vomiting, fever, weakness as well as in the form of sexual power increasing medicine. Yarshagumba was used in domestic treatment by people in absence of research and investigation in ancient time. But now the government has given a law in year 2001. Although it is said that it is going to be about two decades of its commercialization at previous Yarsagumba price was 5 to 10 rupees and 20 to 30 thousand per kilogram, but nowadays its price raised upto 200 to 300 per piece and 7 to 9 lakh per kilogram. Although revalued rate has very high than previous year the government has fixed the price at the rate of 10000 rupees per kg from the year 2005 in order to control to maintaining the simplicity of trend of business. Although Yarsagumba is commercialized in numerous countries in the world Yarsagumba is being made of subsistence livelihood of many people as well as the cooperator of the country to economic collection.
